Palaaram Restaurant - Honest Review
We had lunch at Palaaram today and ordered the following items for dine-in:
* Chicken Biryani
* Beef Biryani
* Paal Kappa
* Kothu Paratha
* Cream of Chicken Soup
* Cream of Tomato Soup
* Beef Varattiyathu
To be honest, the only dishes we truly enjoyed were the Cream of Chicken Soup, Paal Kappa, and Beef Varattiyathu. The rest of the items, especially the biryanis and kothu paratha, didn't live up to expectations and weren't worth the price.
When this outlet first opened, the food quality was much better. Sadly, it seems to have declined over time.

Had a really great experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was just perfect--relaxing and well put together. The service was also spot on, very attentive and friendly. Overall, everything was on point. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

This restaurant offers a unique and memorable dining experience that keeps me coming back, despite a few areas that could use improvement. The first thing that stands out is the beautiful ambience - warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual hangouts and slightly more formal meals. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy a good meal at a comfortable pace.
Speaking of pace, one of the consistent downsides is the slow service. While the staff are polite and courteous, the wait times can be quite long, even when the restaurant isn't too crowded. If you're in a hurry, this might not be the best spot - but if you're there to enjoy a leisurely meal, it's still worth it.
What really makes this place shine is the food. They offer a wide variety of dishes that cater to different tastes, and the quality is consistently impressive. The Beef Kunjipatiri is an absolute standout - rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It's a must-try and definitely one of the best versions of the dish I've had anywhere.
Another highlight is their tea. It's simple, but somehow exceptionally good - fragrant, strong, and served just right. It's the perfect companion to wrap up your meal or enjoy on a quiet afternoon. And if you have a sweet tooth, don't miss the Brazilian Custard. It's one of my personal favourites - smooth, creamy, and delicately sweet without being overpowering.
All in all, this place has a lot to offer. While the service could be faster, the amazing food, great variety, and lovely ambience more than make up for it. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you enjoy discovering standout dishes and don't mind spending a bit of extra time soaking in the experience.

I had a very disappointing experience at Palaaram during a recent visit with my family and friends. We placed a large order for everyone at the table, but it took almost an hour for the food to be served. When it finally arrived, it was incomplete--there were no accompaniments that usually come with the dishes.
After waiting patiently for so long, we were told that the restaurant was too busy, and they didn't serve the remaining items we had ordered. There was no proper communication or apology from the staff. It felt like our order was just forgotten or ignored.
Poor service and mismanagement really ruined what was supposed to be a nice outing. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves their service quality.
