Small but the recent renovation of this railway station has undoubtedly improved its aesthetics. However, the limited number of train stops remains a significant drawback. While the station looks impressive, its functionality & practical utility could be much better.
Small Railway station. Nearest to Kozhikode International Airport. The station is around 3 hours from Ernakulam and just before Kozhikode station. Taxis from here to the airport charge Rs 600. Autos around Rs 280. There's a bus stop nearby from where one can get a crowded bus to the airport or other nearby places. But the bus drops you 2 kms away from the airport. Autos then charge 50 to airport. The bus ride therefore is best avoided.

One of the best railway station. Recently new platform and renovation works going on. Central government recently gives more important to this station. Very nearest station from Kozhikode airport. Somany tourist centers near by. Bus stand also very close. Need more stops to long route trains.
