To reach Chandrettan's tea shop, you have to walk through a rural alley in Konoate, about 13 kilometers from Kozhikode town. In the morning, you can enjoy delicious local kaippathiri, fish, worms and aringad fried with local flavors, and in the afternoon, a delicious meal on banana leaves.
This place offers delicious, tasty food at a very affordable rate, making it a great choice for both regular meals and occasional visits. The menu highlights locally prepared dishes served in their authentic flavor, giving you a true taste of the region.
One of the major plus points is the ample parking facility, which makes it convenient for families and groups traveling by car. Additionally, the clean and well-maintained bathroom facilities add to the overall comfort, especially for long-distance travelers who stop by for a break.
If you want to enjoy authentic local food in a hygienic, budget-friendly, and traveler-friendly environment, this place is highly recommended.

We visited Chandhrettante Chaayakkada on the morning of October 2 (holiday breakfast). The place was very crowded. We tried puzhukku, pathiri, poricha pathiri, and avoli fish fry. The fish fry was delicious -- a real highlight. The other dishes were okay, but not exceptional.
The ambience gave a lovely remote-village vibe. While the social media hype is certainly real, it perhaps raises expectations a little. Still, overall a strong outing.
Chandhrettan is a cool man and adds to the charm of the place.

Don't go there with over expectation..the food is good for the price point. I visited there during lunch time, and the ila Sadhya cost me 50 RS, which is actually a decent one. And since it's mostly crowded and there is a decent space to accommodate around 50 people.
Has an amble parking area which is nearby the shop. And the shop is set up in a traditional way.

Had a great experience at Chandrettante Chayakada! I tried the Puzhuku, Chutta Pathiri, and Aikoora fish--all were absolutely delicious. The lunch service starts by 12:30 PM, and it gets quite busy, especially on holidays, so it's good to reach early. A perfect spot for authentic flavors and a homely vibe!
