Stopped at this restaurant on the way back to Trivandrum. It is conveniently located on the highway. Once the new bypass gets ready, it would be difficult to access this restaurant. There was ample parking space. Security personnel were there to guide diners to park properly. At the ground floor there are tables in a non-air conditioned area. There is one air-conditioned family dining room with two tables to seat 12 on the ground floor (the A/C was not working though) On the first floor there is a large air-conditioned hall for families. We ordered chicken biryani and vegetarian meals. Chicken biryani quantity was quite decent. Meals too had a large assortment of dishes accompanied by a bowl of payasam, sambar, rasam and dal. We also saw tandoori chicken being grilled. Price was food was very reasonable.

Despite the bold "Mutton Dishes" board outside, my go-to order here is always the Beef Ularth. Juicy chunks of beef, perfectly spiced and slow-roasted with caramelized onions -- pair it with their flaky parotta and you've got a fiery, flavour-packed meal that hits the spot every single time. Must-try for beef lovers., just pure taste.

I'd like to start with the service and atmosphere -- both were nice, and I genuinely appreciated them. Now, moving on to the food. I've been a regular customer of this restaurant for almost 5 years and always had a good opinion about their food. During the COVID period, I had mandi from here several times, and I was thoroughly impressed with the taste and quality back then. However, for the past two years, I've been ordering mandi from another restaurant near Al Haja because I preferred the flavor of their rice. Today, I had a craving for mandi and suddenly remembered the amazing taste from this place during the pandemic. So, I hopped on my bike and decided to give it another try. For a better experience, I ordered the Shawai Mandi. Unfortunately, I can confidently say this was the worst mandi I've ever had. The rice had no flavor -- the only good thing was that it was served hot. The mayo was watery and lacked any taste. I was hoping the Shawai chicken would be better, but it was also a huge letdown -- it tasted only of salt, with a heavy dose of red coloring. The only decent part was the salad -- the cucumber and carrots were fresh. I won't be returning. I know my absence won't affect them, but this was truly a big disappointment.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch since it was our only option on the way. We ordered parotta, chili chicken, and chicken curry. The food was fresh, the parotta was soft and tasty, and the chili chicken and chicken curry were less spicy as we requested. Overall, it was okay. I also ordered fresh watermelon juice, but it wasn't so very refreshing. The ambiance was just okay--not very pleasing. The seating was cramped with limited walking space, and the cleanliness of the restaurant could be improved; the wash area, in particular, was not neat and could be cleaner. However, the service was prompt, with everything delivered within 5 minutes, and the staff was friendly and dedicated. The restaurant offers ample parking space and is easily accessible, with security assistance, which was appreciated. Overall, it was fine.
