Halais Restaurant

Halais Restaurant is definitely a good spot for biriyani lovers - the biriyani here was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The Milo shake was also tasty, though a bit disappointing since half the glass was filled with ice cubes . One drawback we faced was the service. The waiters seemed a bit arrogant - they brought additional items to our table claiming we had ordered them, and even when we pointed out the mistake, they did not accept their fault. This left us with a slightly unpleasant impression. That said, if you're going mainly for the food, especially the biriyani, it's worth a visit. A little improvement in service would make the overall experience so much better.

Halais is one if the best choices for biryani in Alappuzha. I often have biryani from halais and till now they have maintained that great flavour. Must try!

Best for Biriyani. Halais biriyani is very much famous. Tourist also comes to taste the dishes. Snacks, dry fruits, chocolates, perfumes, dates, pickles are available. On weekend days, it will be too crowded.

this is one of the most popular restaurants in Alappuzha. The biryani here has a very different taste compared to what you usually find. Don't expect the Malabar-style biryani . The rice has a unique flavor and felt slightly salty. The chicken comes in two types: one fried piece and another cooked in gravy. The quantity is generous, so if you're visiting for the first time, I'd recommend ordering just one biryani to try it out before deciding on more. On the positive side, the Dynamite Prawns were excellent the sauce was very flavorful and tasty. However, the mutton soup was disappointing. It arrived very late, was too thick, and the broth had an unusual flavor that wasn't pleasant. Overall, it's worth trying for the unique biryani and especially the Dynamite Prawns, but don't expect the usual Malabar or Hyderabad biryani taste.

A very good place in Alleppey for dinner. Tried all their signature dishes. They were just awesome. It's behind a small store. Quite a decent ambience with partition for families. Fish was very tasty. Beef Biryani was different guess its Kerala style biryani but it was tastier. Shrimp creamy bucket was also awesome. Overall a very nice place for dinner.
