Our stay at Club Mahindra Virajpet was absolutely excellent -- a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and hospitality. The property is beautifully maintained with lush greenery all around, and every corner reflects calmness and Coorg's charm. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, making the entire experience seamless and memorable. The activities and facilities are top-notch -- ideal for both families and couples looking to unwind amidst nature. The food quality and taste were outstanding, offering a wide variety of well-prepared dishes. However, the meals are quite expensive, which is something guests should plan for in advance. The resort is beautifully nested in the midst of coffee plantation. The stay in the rooms was made pleasant as we were provided with all amenities. The happy hub catered to a wide range of games and activities. The swimming pool is satisfactorily mantained.. Food is served in two restaurants Coorgenberg providing Alacarte and Aromas which serves buffet. The service provided was excellent and satisfactory. The staff was cordial and enterprising.

We stayed here for 2 days and it was a truly pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly, polite and always ready to help, which made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The property itself is well maintained, peaceful and surrounded by a beautiful environment perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The rooms were clean and spacious and the amenities provided were up to the mark. The overall atmosphere was calm and family friendly. We really enjoyed our time here and left with some wonderful memories.

Stayed here for 3 nights during the dussehra, booked the BR ROOM spacious enough for 4 people to say The check-in took 40 mins to get our rooms allocated, and we wanted a room on the top but got on the bottom instead, we did ask for a chage they mentioned next day they will change it but didn't. Nobody explained restaurant, food or other amenties while checking in which was disappointing and lot of bathroom amenities which are basic where on call basis which is fine if informed nothing was informed and it is sad to know slippers and other things existed on our last day such a disappointing experiences when such small things are not mentioned. Room was clean and cleaned every day when we stepped out and was backin appreciate the house keeping team and their quick resposne to getting us an iron box and iron board.

Review for Club Mahindra Virajpet, Coorg We recently stayed at Club Mahindra Virajpet, Coorg with a group booking of 45 rooms. While the property itself is stunning -- surrounded by scenic beauty, lush greenery, and offering a range of activities -- our overall experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the scale of our booking. Property & Location The resort is undeniably beautiful. The location, landscape, and atmosphere truly justify its reputation as one of the most scenic properties in Coorg. Perfect blend of nature and peace. Food & Dining Experience The highlight of our entire stay was the food -- absolutely exceptional! All credit goes to Chef Mr. Tara Bhushan, who deserves a 50/10 rating for his cooperation, professionalism, and service that went above and beyond expectations. He was the backbone of our experience -- personally ensuring every meal was delicious and customized for our group's needs. However, the rest of the kitchen and service team was unfortunately below average. Basic service, like refilling a dish or even tea, took 30-60 minutes. It became almost a joke at one point -- even a tea refill took close to 50 minutes. The staff seemed inattentive and uncoordinated, often not responding even to instructions from the F&B Manager or Chef. At one point, when I personally checked the kitchen, several service staff were sitting and playing on their phones during peak meal time. Hospitality & Service Despite such a large group booking, the hospitality and service were not up to the mark. Simple requests like towel changes or room service calls went unanswered even after 4 follow-up calls. Many guests faced similar issues with housekeeping not responding in time. Mr. Sajjan, the property in-charge, deserves appreciation for his cooperation and helpful attitude. He truly tried his best to make things smooth, but beyond him, most of the staff seemed disinterested or unmotivated. Transportation (Buggy Service) For a 34-acre and 177 rooms property, they have only 3-4 buggies, out of which 2 are always in charging and buggy drivers are totally disinterested in working. We often had to wait 30-45 minutes for a buggy -- and that too only after arguing and insisting at the reception. This is unacceptable for a resort of this scale. Activities & Entertainment The activity area and schedule were decent, but the attitude of the activity team was disappointing. At 8:15 PM, we requested just a 5-10 minute extension of the DJ (which was part of the resort's regular activity), but the team rudely refused, saying they had "other work." However, they were always available and eager for any paid activities -- a clear sign of being money-minded rather than guest-oriented. We also requested a mic and small Bluetooth speaker for group games -- they quoted 16,500 + GST, which was unreasonable, especially when we weren't allowed to use our own. Overall Impression While the property and food (thanks to Chef Tara Bhushan) were outstanding, the hospitality, service standards, and guest experience were far from what one expects from a reputed brand like Club Mahindra. It honestly felt like groups or bulk bookings are not welcome, given the poor service and attitude despite the large business we gave. The management seriously needs to revisit staff training, guest responsiveness, and flexibility in handling large groups. Summary: Property & Location - 9/10 Food (Chef Tara Bhushan) - 50/10 Staff & Service - 3/10 Activities & Flexibility - 4/10 Overall Experience - 3/10 If not for the Chef Tara Bhushan and Mr. Sajjan, this trip would've been a total disappointment. Hope the management takes this as constructive feedback to improve hospitality and focus on guest experience over excessive monetization.
