A small and cozy eatery serving tasty traditional Karnataka dishes that are both light on the stomach and easy on the pocket! It is conveniently located close to the temple. The people working there are very courteous. We tried the gojju vade, which came with mildly flavoured gravy over soft, fluffy vadas and it was quite enjoyable. The palav paired with raita was also nice. The star of the meal, however, was the dahi vada, where the curd was perfectly seasoned and made the dish a simple yet delightful treat. The dosa too was good, though not freshly made, it still had a nice flavour. Overall, a lovely spot for authentic local food. Definitely worth a visit!

I visited the Nagaari canteen, situated in the Krishna Temple complex on Car Street in Udupi. It's quite small, accommodating only about 6 to 8 people inside. Despite its size, the taste is delightful. I sampled their Gojjambade, also known as Bojjambade, which was priced at 25 rupees each. It had a slightly sweet and spicy flavor with a mix of masala. The texture resembled that of uddin vada, but it was actually an uddin plain bonda dipped in Gojju. I also tried their dahi vada, which could have been improved with a thicker dahi. While the taste was good, the dahi was a bit watery, and it also cost 25 INR per piece.

Small cozy hotel/canteen located in very close proximity to the Shri Krishna Mutt. The food tastes very homely - shira & dahi vada was definitely a highlight. The poori & buns were good too. Great place for a quick breakfast or snack.

After visiting the Shri Krishna Temple, I stopped by Nagaari Canteen and tried their dahi wada. It was incredibly soft and tasty, definitely a must-try when you're in the area! The flavors were spot on, and it was the perfect snack after my temple visit. If you're looking for something delicious to eat near the temple, Nagaari Canteen is a great choice.
