One of oldest and good restaurants to have authentic Mangalore breakfast. The hot buns served with sambar and chutney is pure bliss to enjoy on a rainy morning. Every person who serves here is good. We were served by Sitaram uncle and he was nice and served with love and a smile on face. Any time in Mangalore, this is a must visit place for breakfast. It is also pocket friendly.
I am a resident of Bangalore but native of Mangalore and I visit this hotel for its breakfast like Bengaluru. Rest of the places I don't find the dishes as in Bengaluru. But on 23rd sep I was there for breakfast and I ordered one plate idli vada and a masala dosa for my wife. The bill was peculiar idli vada was charged 95 and the dosa was 65. I enquired whether the exchanged the dishes in the bill. I was told NO. In Bengaluru however posh the hotel is in. Kemal course idli vada may cost max 70 or 75 in a very good restaurant at a very good locality. Idly was not up to the mark. But the price was exhorbitant! Janatha people think over!!
Felt the food was a bit costlier compared to what they served. The dishes were a little less boiled, but the taste was good and the mild flavors are suitable for people with sensitive stomachs since there's no heavy spice. orders came quickly without much waiting
Visited at 9.30 pm. Must be a late entry? May be the last customer of the day. Sorry, the South Indian mini was bad. 1)old rice was sipped in hot water and served?? and sour taste. 2) chapati was half cooked 3) Chutney was rotten.Rasam was salty. I am sorry We visited with a team of 10 members. And we would have opted snacks and chats., which our 2 members enjoyed.. We know the pain of hotel industries. And also request you to serve the best to your last customer as well who come with hunger and trust. Thanks
I was very impressed with the food and service at Hotel Janatha Deluxe. We ordered Veg Thali which had a good variety along with veg pulao and gobi manchurian. It tasted delicious and the quantity was worth the price.
