Shanbhag Tiffin Room

My wife and I (regretfully) visited Shanbhag Tiffin Room and had a extremely bad experience. The unhygienic conditions were hard to ignore - from grimy tables to lackluster service. It's disheartening that no effort is made to clean the tables after customers finish their meals (see attached pictures) A meal surrounded by filth is not only unsightly but also raises serious concerns about the overall cleanliness of the establishment. I strongly advise against dining here until they address these glaring issues.

I visited here for dinner . I was osm time to get family to dinner here. Taste also Good. And service was too late. And here ambiance also nice.

First of all, let me start by saying i don't know if it's shanbhag tiffin rooms or shanbhag international hotel as both boards were there. I assume they're seperate but closely placed seperated by probably a wall. We went to the dining area. They gave us menu. We read the menu, ordered a couple of things like paneer chilli, mushroom chilli etc and green salad. The waiter informed us that only chinese items were available albeit rudely. So then we asked what do you mean by Chinese items. I had seen a child in a nearby table eating masala dosa so I asked if we can get it. He bluntly said no. Fine acceptable. Then we proceeded to have food. Food was bare minimum. Starters came after main course. Waiter served one of the item just to one person and let the noodle hanging and touching the plate. After everything they brought cucumber and onions. Cutlery was subpar. Which is ok if you're eating at a roadside dhaba. But this place with it's ambience doesn't warranty such plastic and poor quality cutlery. We paid and we saw masala dosa being served jus outside the door. In the self service area. All he had to do was tell it was there outside. It's the same ownership. Overall, pathetic hotel. Pathetic service. Rude people. Terrible food. I won't even let the bathroom get a mention here. Flushing releases water outside the toilet as well. 0/5.

Visited this hotel as a tourist to try the Karnataka food and the food was decent .Lot of ghee and butter and the dosa was good ! The open butter dosa was the best !! The indoor dining area was quite gloomy and old style .Their sambar was quite sweet for my liking but tasted good! Can definitely try once here

We stopped by for breakfast during our visit to Hampi and they serve authentic sagar restaurant type breakfast. If you are at Hospet then dont miss this place to try breakfast. We had Idly Vada, Poori & Dosa and all tasted good. Perfect place to dine in with family and Price is also reasonable.
