Udipi's Upahar

I recently visited Udupi Upahar in Jamshedpur, located at Bindal Mall, Marine Drive Road. The restaurant serves delicious South Indian dishes, including their signature items like sambar, vada, and masala dosa. They also offer Chinese cuisine and desserts. The price range is reasonable, with meals starting from INR 200-400 per person. The ambiance is charming, making it a great spot for a casual meal. Special mention to Ashish, who assisted me during my visit. Their service was prompt and courteous, adding to the overall positive experience.

Namastey peepol! If you're from Jamshedpur, you've probably already heard of Udupi Upahar - the famous dosa spot that originally started in Hyderabad. It's been here for quite some time, and honestly, every visit still feels special. What I personally love about this place, apart from the food, is the warmth. The owner is such a sweet lady who actually listens to customers and makes sure everyone leaves happy - rare to find these days! Coming to the food - they've done an amazing job at keeping the authentic South Indian flavors intact. From crispy dosas to rich sambhar and perfectly balanced chutneys, the taste instantly reminds you of Hyderabad. Fun fact - they even brought in a special kitchen team from Hyderabad just to maintain that traditional touch. And if you didn't know already, they also have another branch in Bhalubasa. So, if one outlet is too crowded (which it often is), you've got another option. All in all, if you love authentic dosas and a homely vibe, Udupi Upahar is worth every visit.

The place has become my go to spot for almost everything. Whether it's a quick bite, a coffee or just something small or large. The staff is friendly, service is consistent and it's so convenient being nearby.

I visited udipi recently for a cup of tea and a sandwich. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The tea, priced at 60 rupees, was far too sweet and not drinkable. I tried informing the staff about it, but there was no response or assistance. Additionally, the sandwich I ordered was smaller than expected, and the taste did not meet my expectations either. It's unfortunate that the overall quality didn't match the price or the service I hoped for. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for a satisfying tea or a decent sandwich.
